Wal-Mart Ends Layaway Program
Wal-Mart is doing away with their once popular used Layaway Program. They are also advising customers to get and use "low interest credit cards". Wal-Mart, who is a usual suspect of treating their workers bad, has now turned their backs on loyal customers, Many petitions have already been filed on the internet to attempt to keep the Layaway program. The last day for Layaway is November 19th 2006. One customer claims "there are a lot more people out there that without layway will not be able to afford Christams...it's disrespectful for Wal-Mart to turn their backs on the people who got them where they are today..."

WAL-MART SUCKS! I WILL NOT BE SHOPPING AT WAL-MART AGAIN.
BAD IDEA, LAYAWAY WAS MY MAIN REASON FOR SHOPPING HERE. I GUESS I'LL BE GOING ELSEWHERE THIS XMAS. WHAT SETS YOU ASIDE FROM YOU COMPETITION NOW? NOT MUCH!
I think that this has to be one of the most unfortunate and less thought through decisions that your company could have made! One of the reasons that I choose to do not only my weekly shopping as well as holiday shopping through the Walmart chain is because of the layaway plan. Other local stores do not have layaway plans and I therefore do not choose to shop at those stores. Bad bad idea Walmart, I am truly disappointed!
